About The Role

GVC and MGM, two global gambling leaders, have joined forces to form an exclusive joint venture with the aim of building the no.1 US sports betting and interactive gaming company.

We are now seeking highly experienced, organized and results focused individuals to join this start-up, whom will be working with and influencing both parent organizations in addition to working with 3rd parties.

An expert in Sports betting, with strong knowledge from both a customer and business perspective, combined with an understanding of technology needed to deliver the data-led strategy and roadmap to deliver a market leading experience. Leading an area of the product and roadmap the Product Manager will need to work closely with cross functional teams across both Retail & Digital Departments to develop requirements aligned to the strategy, overseeing delivery and ensuring business readiness of any new product release.

Key Responsibilities

Working with Retail & Digital Product, Marketing, Operations, Technology and other teams as well as working directly with external development teams as the point of contact for requirements and story definition, backlog grooming, preparing acceptance criteria, prioritization and planning.

Personal responsibility for delivering the desired features and functionality within their area would be an expectation within the role that should be embraced by the successful candidate.

  • Passion for digital product and customer experience; specifically mobile / web product features, UX/UI, development and innovation
  • Lead and prioritise Mlife Product Roadmaps
  • Understand and champion customer needs and anticipate their future needs
  • Keen ability to translate business needs into high level stories/requirements for new to market features & drive incremental delivery of these features in conjunction with the BA’s and delivery team via prioritised stories
  • Work with wider teams to understand customer behaviour, business drivers, help develop product strategy and business cases and contribute to the production of an overall product delivery roadmap that aims to deliver on the key business strategy and goals 
  • Daily interaction with internal and external development teams to clarify development requirements 
  • Daily interaction with the internal testing team to ensure features are delivered as expected, including user-acceptance testing of new developments 
  • Regular interaction with key business areas related to Omni-channel including marketing, content, data management, CRM and trading as new features and ideas impact on those areas
  • Interfacing with the Programme and Technology teams (and other relevant stakeholders) to garner respect in their decision-making and to ensure all are kept well informed of the status of delivery and benefits realization
  • Understanding business and system processes, an eye for detail and an ability to communicate solutions and schedules clearly
  • Understand the capabilities of the Omni-Channel platform/s working with relevant stakeholders to optimise the capabilities and respective developments
  •  Ensuring business readiness for new feature releases
  • Research, define, recommend and implement specific innovation of new technologies across the mobile customer experience

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in defining business requirements in the context of software and application development both from a technical and customer facing viewpoint.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Ability to relate to both business and I.T specialists
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills with an expert eye for detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Scrum agile delivery methods and a good understanding of the Product Owner role 
  • Experience of working with UX/UI teams to produce high quality UX artefacts as part of the product delivery process 
  • Possess an understanding of sports betting customers, and their needs, wants and expectations
