About The Role

GVC and MGM, two global gambling leaders, have joined forces to form an exclusive joint venture with the aim of building the no.1 US sports betting and interactive gaming company.

We are now seeking highly experienced, organized and results focused individuals to join this start-up, whom will be working with and influencing both parent organizations in addition to working with 3rd parties.

The UX Designer will be a passionate advocate for the user and will enable the delivery of  great experiences across all retail & digital channels used by millions of our customers.

The UX Designer will research and design user interface solutions based on UX principles, business requirements and user research. The role will work collaboratively with the wider GVC UX/UI team, ROAR & GVC Product teams and key stakeholders to gather insights to inform design solutions and create user journeys, sketches, wireframes and mock-ups. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create UX design proposals and wireframes for mobile apps and websites to promote ideas and concepts to stakeholders
  • Conceptualize and design UI/UX mock flows for mobile, tablet, web and retail interfaces. Including building wireframe prototypes, annotated layouts and requirements documents to present to stakeholders across the business 
  • Work effectively alongside the designers as part of the wider GVC UX/UI team to provide rapid support and feedback on tasks involving UI design, UX journey analysis and configuration to ensure a consistent approach to the user journeys 
  • Liaise with relevant parties, Design Team Manager, UI Designers, Product Owners & Developers, to progressively move from low fidelity wireframes to high fidelity to design concepts more thoroughly 
  • Carry out usability studies and provide feedback including relevant analysis and to help facilitate championing of the customer 
  • Provide support and guidance to the Product team on UX principles and best practice, with workshops and 1:1 sessions in line with web and industry innovation and standards to ensure the team has a consistent approach in their work 
  • Provide substantiation to clients for UX/UI design proposals through data, expert analysis and feedback 
  • Provide UX consultation services to the product team on day to day UX design work where necessary including Projects, BAU tasks & Creative initiatives
  • Review existing suite of products & marketing tools on a regular basis to provide recommendations & proposals for improvements in line with latest UX principles and innovation 

Skills and Experience Required

  • University-level education in design, technology, psychology, human factors or Human Computer Interaction
  • 2+ Years commercial digital experience including UX design, research, planning and strategy
  • Good knowledge of wireframing, prototyping and general design software tool of developing major International mobile and web site(s)
  • Ability to work effectively as part of both small teams and larger formal groups
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt rapidly to changing business conditions
  • Detail focused but able to see the "big picture" and maintain progress
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple streams of work and prioritize accordingly
  • Quick response when incorporating relevant feedback from product owners and any other design team members
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in the Sports Betting and Gaming industry would be advantageous
