About The Role

GVC and MGM, two global gambling leaders, have joined forces to form an exclusive joint venture (ROAR Digital) with the aim of building the no.1 US sports betting and interactive gaming company. 

We are now seeking highly experienced, organized and results focused individuals to join this start-up, whom will be working with and influencing both parent organizations in addition to working with 3rd parties. 

The Compliance Analyst monitors day-to-day activities and ensures that internet gaming casinos are compliant with the requirements of relevant state laws, regulations, directives from state regulatory agencies, and the obligations of the land-based casinos in a particular state. Ensure that our casino products in the United States are compliant with the requirements of federal authorities such as FINCEN.  The Compliance Analyst will ensure compliance through the development, implementation and monitoring of effective policies and procedures. The Compliance Analyst, working under the direction and supervision of the Director of Compliance, will have specific responsibilities in the areas of regulatory compliance for our online casino products, including game content, financial reporting and promotions.  This individual will be responsible for actively managing relationships with the business, the relevant regulatory agencies and other external and internal stakeholders. This role could be based in Jersey City. 

Duties

  • Reconciles daily, weekly and monthly reports and analyzes historical records of gaming activity to assist with tracking trends or potential positive and negative activities.
  • Maintains knowledge of the Accounting,  gaming regulations in New Jersey and other regulated US state markets.
  • Assists in maintain records of software releases for compliance in accordance with the regulations.
  • Provides assistance with testing all casino and promotional content to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Reports all findings to technology compliance management, product management and regulatory affairs.
  • Responds to all issues relating to the regulatory compliance operation in assigned states where Roar offers internet gaming services.  Working under the direction of the compliance department and in close cooperation with the director of the online casino.  
  • Contributes and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as Responsible Gambling and Internal Security with a particular focus on establishing processes to ensure full compliance within the area of online casino.
  • Analyzes and reports on all compliance areas that relate to online casino
  • Provides guidance to customer service on any compliance related items and ensure regular training is carried out by all customer service agents.
  • Acts as a point of contact for escalations for customer facing teams that relate to online casino.
  • Provides input into the product roadmap to ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are included in upcoming releases.
  • Interacts on a daily basis with the casino operational teams on 3rd party and in-house casino game topics.
  • Provides communication channel between  operations and regulators to ensure timely and accurate responses.
  • Interacts with technology on a regular basis on game content, testing and launch.

Your Skillset 

  • Online or Land based Casino/Gaming experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience of working in an analytical role, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience in report writing.
  • Internal control, internal audit or compliance experience
  • Regulatory experience.
  • Ability to work as part of a worldwide team in a very fast paced and changing environment
  • Understand business priorities and ability to work to them
  • Attention to detail and an analytical mind
  • Ability to work independently
  • High level of personal initiative and motivation
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience in service improvement
  • Professional, honest and reliable
  • Customer service experience
  • Qualifications in Compliance and/or Anti Money Laundering.
