About The Role

Roar Digital is seeking a Responsible Gambling Coordinator that will develop and manage Roar’s Responsible Gambling initiatives and efforts to serve as a leader in online responsible gambling. The Responsible Gambling Coordinator responsibilities include project development, project management and other program related duties assigned. Other responsibilities include managing all Responsible Gambling Plans including but not limited to the coordination of reports, other interactions with internal and external stakeholders such as state regulators, business partners and local/national responsible gambling organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and manage Roar Digitals Responsible Gambling Initiatives.
  • Develop and manage Responsible Gambling Plans in all jurisdictions.
  • Ensure all responsible gambling regulatory requirements are met on an ongoing basis.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external responsible gambling partners.
  • Oversee responsible gambling training for Roar employees.
  • Work with internal resources to review information to proactively identify potential ‘at risk’ customers and develop and coordinate appropriate response plans.
  • Determining appropriate mitigation actions for any risk identified.
  • Provide direction to staff concerning customer interactions to address concerns of potential problem gambling with customers and to provide support to ensure the customer is gambling safely.
  • Determine appropriate action to be taken on high-risk cases to ensure they are dealt with appropriately.
  • Reviewing quality and relevance of information recorded from interactions with customers.
  • Handling escalated cases and providing support to Risk, Customer Services and VIP teams.
  • Assisting with proactively optimizing, managing and maintaining an effective Quality and Assurance Process.
  • Be familiar with all responsible gambling regulations and statues.
  • Provide oversight and direction through coaching and feedback in an effective manner in relation to safer gambling practices.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required (Major in public health or related area is highly preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Problem Gambling Initiatives is required.
  • Must be highly motivated, well organized an able to produce accurate and detailed information to a very high standard
  • Experience of handling sensitive, confidential customer information
  • Ability to remain calm, tactful, respectful and unbiased
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and empathetically with senior management, operational staff and customers
  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships effectively
  • Ability to work as a team, as well as independently
  • Must be able to work to strict deadlines and prioritize issues
  •  Excellent writing skills including composition & language, ensuring clarity and required impact in all written communications
  • Proficient in MS Office
