About The Role

The Senior Tax Accountant will be a key member of Roar Digital’s growing finance team and be heavily involved in building and maintaining new tax processes. In this role the Senior Tax Accountant will work closely with the Head of Tax, Financial Controller and all areas of the business. A successful candidate will exhibit a keen attention to detail, strong finance/accounting & business instinct and the ability to work both efficiently and effectively in an ever-changing environment. Above all the candidate must be passionate about what they do!

 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Oversight of the State & Local Income Tax Compliance function
  • Assist with the review of all tax returns.
  • Proactively manage and maintain provision and compliance deadlines including exercising out of the box thinking to optimize efficiency.
  • Assist with tax-related internal controls, income tax compliance and reporting, and income tax audits.
  • Research and document tax positions.
  • Support Head of Tax with ensuring the firm is compliant with all tax rules across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Automate and refine existing tax-related operational and compliance processes.
  • Work with the Head of Tax and Advisors on various special projects.
  • Assist in performing research of all income related tax issues with respect to their impact on Company operations
  • Help manage the gaming Withholding Tax process.
  • Work closely with MGM & GVC global tax and finance teams to install best practice in all finance areas
  • Provide support on all internal and external audit requests
  • Provide support to the FC, CFO and wider finance team with ad-hoc requests as required
 
Qualifications and Skills
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance
  • Working towards a CPA or Masters Degree. Having an advanced Degree or Qualification is a nice to have.
  • 4+  years of tax experience
  • State & Local Income Tax Experience is a must
  • Audit Experience
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Experience of Oracle Fusion accounting system is preferable (not required)
  • Ambitious self-starter, proactive and passionate about finance and business
  • Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate, describe and explain
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commercial instinct
  • Team player
