Essential Responsibilities

The Senior Manager - Compensation will lead and assume overall accountability for strategy development, design, implementation, administration, and governance of all compensation and benefit programs for Roar. This role will ensure all programs align with business objectives, are competitive, sustainable and have an impact on the long and short term performance of the organization by being effective in attracting, rewarding, and retaining key talent, and are fully compliant with local legal and regulatory requirements.

This is a collaborative role that will work cross-functionally with community group leadership, Human Resources, Finance, and Legal to understand business issues and collectively develop effective business solutions. As a member of the Human Resources team, this role will translate the People strategy into a comprehensive total rewards strategy.

The Senior Manager Total Rewards will serve as a thought partner to the organization in developing and delivering Total Rewards strategy, programs, plans and counsel for optimal solutions.

  • Manage the overall compensation function including base compensation, short-term and long-term incentive compensation.
  • Manage the relationship with our third party benefits administrator, including group medical, dental, life, long-term and short-term disability insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) Plan and defined benefit plans.
  • Manage and enhance vendor relationships to streamline day-to-day administration.
  • Support the analysis and preparation of Board of Director and Executive Committee materials.
  • Develop plan designs and recommend benefit programs based on overall effectiveness, benchmarks, market assessment, business strategy and cost impact.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and restructure/automate as appropriate.
  • Support HR projects and strategic initiatives, both within and outside of Total Rewards


You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Total Rewards Programs
  • Deep business acumen and understanding of business strategies and principles
  • Deep and proven experience developing, shaping and administering compensation plans
  • Knowledge of benefits programs (Health, 401K, etc.) and experience working with and project managing external vendors
  • Strong analytical skills, and business planning skills
  • Superior project management abilities
  • Experience managing projects across organizational lines and boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high quality results
  • Tendency toward working within a dynamic environment; personally flexible and adaptable
  • Comfort with ambiguity and in helping team members navigate the same.
  • Critical thinker, problem-solver who focuses on continuous improvement; with the ability to help others see the bigger picture, connecting the appropriate “dots”.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
