The Public Relations Manager (PR Manager) is responsible for the co-ordination of our PR strategy for our various media channels including digital media, traditional media, and social activity. This role will be accountable for the strategy underpinning our PR efforts at a brand level, working closely with the Director of Brand and Digital Media. 
 
Essential Responsibilities
 
  • Working with the Director of Brand & Digital Media, develop a marketing communications plan including PR strategy, goals and tactics.
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in TV, Print, Radio/Podcast and online/social media.
  • Working with our PR agency, coordinate all public relations activities to ensure we maximise the exposure of our brands to the respective markets.
  • Work with our social media team to engage audiences across traditional and new media for all PR related activities.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media.
  • With the assistance of our PR agency, manage media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations.
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a monthly basis to the Director of Brand & Digital Media and CMO.
  • Working with the internal Trading department to ensure all topical trends of the business are being communicated to the consumer base via our PR agency.
  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting customers and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
 
You Need
  • Proven working experience in public relations required.
  • Sports and Gaming knowledge beneficial for the role
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level.
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Event planning experience beneficial for the role
  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline
